SIAT, on the basis of its own specific experience in this line of business, has arranged a new scheme different from the one used in the past and from the ones adopted by other national and international companies.
This new approach, integrated in the national and international organization, has been tested and updated with our clients/intermediaries and is based on the following:

- For Italy: rather than the usual surveyors’list on territorial basis it has been felt preferable the indication of survey organizations specialised in certain cargoes and able to cover the entire national country according to homogeneous criteria.
- For foreign countries: SIAT has chosen to employ organizations based on geographical areas; in absence of specific information, the use of nearest Lloyd’s Agent or direct contact with Marine Cargo Claims Department of SIAT is recommended.

The Marine Cargo Claims Department is in any event always at complete disposal for any surveyor appointment.
